A Living Room Love Story
This will always be my absolute favorite room in this house!
I can’t believe how quickly this room changed once we took posession. We took down the plantation shutters, added moldings and laced in hardwood flooring and before the furniture was even placed, this room was night and day different!
I think my favorite thing about this room is that it holds most of my favorite furniture pieces both thrifted and custom all in one place. I found this sofa on marketplace and it was the inspiration behind this entire room. Over the last 6 months I’ve found little trinkets at thrift shops or home goods, displayed the kiddos clay art and of course added greenery that I have been propagating from my Yiayia’s plants all over this room. It feels special and collected…just perfect for us.
This fiddle leaf tree fit in my trunk just 2 years ago. I thought it wasn't going to make it time and time again but it loves the light in this corner. It’s more than doubled in size since July.
Just two years ago this fiddle leaf tree was tiny! It fit in the trunk of my car and cost no more than $15.00. It grew super slow at our last house and the leaves all sagged but once we got here, new leaves started popping out weekly. I hope it reaches the ceiling one day!
Another thrifted find was the giant mirror! It definitely feels aged, especially with the modern bubble chandelier right next to it. Peak the nickel column candle sticks next to it. They are my Yiayias! And yes, it’s okay to mix your metals! So why do I love this room so much? Because it feels like a reflection of us! Love your home friends!
I hope you found something in this post that inspired you!
Love, Lanie
